WHAT IS WAITNG?

- Is to stay where you are.

- Is a delay doing something until something happens.

 

WHAT DO WE WAIT FOR?

- Desires we long for.

- Prayer we have being praying.

- Good news we are waiting to hear.

 

ALL THESE CAN CAUSE WAITING:

1) Impatience.

2) Discouragement.

3) Worry.

4) Wonder if God really cares.

 

FACTS ON WAITING FOR GOD.

1) Waiting is part of life.

2) It is one of God's tools for developing people.

3) It is hard work sometimes.

4) It creates patience.

5) Perseverance.

6) Endurance.

7) Draws us closer to our saviour.

8) Waiting turns to be gospel.

 

WHAT DO YOU DO IN TIME OF WAITITNG?

1) Believe that the God who created you, saves.

2) Believe that the God who saves you, hears your cry (Micah 7:7).

3) Wait and watch with expectation and also be prepared (Psalms 5:3).

4) Be angry with faith, believe the word of God (Psalms 130:5-6).

5) Trust in God not in your understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). 

6) Resist freting and refrain from anger (Psalms 37:7).

7) Be strong and courageous (Psalms 27:13-14, Joshua 1:6,7,9).

8) See it as an opportunity to experience God's greatness.

9) Don't go your own way (Lamentation 3:27).

10) Continue steadfastly in prayer and be watchful with thanksgiving (Colossians 4:2).

 

WHY GOD MAKES US WAIT.

1) Waiting reveals our true motive. What is your motive?

2) Waiting builds patience in our lives.

3) As humans we tend to appreciate things we long waited for.

4) Waiting transforms our character.
